In July, 2003, I went to the Boundary Waters on another solo canoe trip. I borrowed a friends cedar strip canoe and took our terrier, Frodo, along with me. I entered at Bower Trout Lake, and set up a base camp on Vernon, exploring that lake plus doing a day trip up to Wanihagan and Cliff Lakes.
I don't have the trip report completed yet. But, you are welcome to view the slide show from the trip. Just click on the appropriate link to the left. Part 1 shows the trip in on July 30. Part 2 shows the day trip I took on July 31. Part 3 contains scenes from around Vernon Lake taken on August 1 and 2. Part 4 shows the trip to back to Bower Trout on August 3 and leaving the BW on August 4. I hope to have the report written soon.
