Description

Two Photography Workshops located in the great outdoors of Northern Wisconsin provide plenty of opportunities for photography on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage, Manitowish River, Rest Lake of the Manitowish Chain of Lakes, and the Powell Marsh. Instructor/Photographer leads you through the photographic process from seeing and composing a photograph, through the technical aspects of your camera to get the best results from your equipment, to the final touchup on your computer (digital darkroom). There's plenty of time in the mornings and evenings (the best light periods of the day) to practice what you learn in the classroom.

Itinerary (Same for both workshops -- timing subject to change,)

Friday
-- Check-in/Registration at Timberline Inn (Manitowish Waters)
-- Shuttle to Hawk's Nest Canoe Outfitters (HNCO)
-- Introductions
-- Hone Skills: Composition -- Seeing the photo
-- Evening Shoot on the Manitowish River
-- Dinner at the Rustic Road House Restaurant

Saturday
-- Morning Shoot at Rest Lake
-- Breakfast at the Rustic Road House
-- Shuttle to HNCO
-- Critique and Q&A
-- Lunch at Rustic Road House
-- Hone Skills: Exposure and Camera Technique
-- Evening Shoot Turtle Flambeau Flowage
-- Dinner (Box Lunch) at the flowage

Sunday
-- Morning Shoot -- Powell Marsh
-- Breakfast at Rustic Road House
-- Shuttle to HNCO
-- Critique & Q&A
-- Introduction to the Digital Darkroom (fixing up your photos on the computer)
-- Lunch at Rustic Road House
-- Head home

Price

Price of $395/person includes the following:
-- Workshop
-- Six Meals (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch)
-- All shuttling
-- Canoes & Kayaks
-- 6 month followup critiques, advice, feedback.

Lodging at Timberline Inn available for an additional $100 (including taxes)
-- Based on Double Occupancy (Single Occupancy: additional $50/night).
-- Subject to availability -- the earlier you register, the better.

Deposit of $100/person required, balance due at check-in.
